Monday, 28 July 2008Back at OKC after selling my truck and buying a cargo van. The truck just didn't want to pull the trailer and was worried about ruining the truck before my trip was finished. A nice man made me a CASH offer I could not refuse so I sold it and bought a 2003 cargo van. It is very long and great for bed, food and general STUFF.
The weather is OKC is HOT and going to stay in the high 90's to 100 for the next week. So thought I'd just kick back, get some general repairs done to the van, and regroup to head to the east coast in a couple of weeks.
I don't get access to the net enough to keep up my 'travel log' so the postings will be well spaced out.

Finally left OKC to head to the EAST COAST. Total plan change.
Left OKC about 9AM, filled my tank and headed NE towards Locust Grove, OK, a small town about 30 miles east of Tulsa on HWY 412.
It's about 3:30 PM and it's been raining since I got here. Hope it quits so I can set up and sell tomorrow (Thursdays sunrise to 1PM). This stop is a gas money flea market. Don't plan on getting rich here. But it is a good place to stay for a night or two.
When I leave here tomorrow after lunch, I'll head about 30 miles south to Talaquah, OK for the weekend. Then east into Arkansas.
This is my first posting in awhile. Haven't had access to the net.
My present schedule it to cross Arkansas, selling all the way, then across the corners of Missouri and Tennessee into Kentucky. I'll Flea Market across Kentucky, which should take a couple of weeks, then into West Virginia.
More pix and details to follow.
