Well, it's been a lot of work and fun. I've measured and cut twice and some boards were still too short.
It's amazing what a few dozen tubes of caulk and a bunch of small scraps of wood can fill.

Traveling The USA |
Time to retire and travel the USA. This is going to be fun.
I plan to leave OKC OK in late April and head SW. As a flea marketer, this should be a zero sum travel trip. The idea is to sell and travel and COLLECT ROCKS! ARE YOU READY FOR THIS? I don't know anything about rockhounding, collecting rocks, panning for gold or finding minerals and gemstones. BUT I'M GOING TO LEARN! Hopefully, you'll find this website and travel along with me. Then YOU'LL learn what I learn and may decide to go off searching for a dream, too. I'll be looking for a lot of help along the way. To that end, I've been joining travel forums and various websites posting requests for a 'TAG-ALONG' which might allow me to go rockhounding with experienced people throughout the USA. Are you one of those people? Here's what you can do. Send me an email including what you search for, where, and what part of the year. Here is a rough outline of my agenda... Leave OKLAHOMA CITY, OK in late March and head SW into Texas, then to Deming, NM to Rockhound State Park. Then on to AZ, up to Utah and Nevada for a few weeks, then into Oregon. I want to go on into Idaho, Montana, and then back down the center of the HEARTLAND == ND, SD, NE, KS, and back to OKC. After a brief rest and a few weeks to try to clean out my storage rental, on EAST towards my winter objective, North Carolina. It may take me all summer to travel the west, and it may take me a year or two. I don't have a serious schedule -- No Place To Be and Plenty Of Time TO Get There! SUPER SAVER TIP: NEVER EVER Co-Sign for anyone, EVER! When I say anyone, I include relatives. Don't fall for any cry baby tactics. This is a PURE LOSER action that will ruin your credit. NO ONE ON EARTH deserves to be co-signed for. The only reason you need a cosigner is because the lender doesn't think they'll get their money. Remember, however much you co-sign for is how much YOU are going to be paying, plus expenses, late fees, legal fees, etc. A very expensive and financially disruptive action you'll regret for the REST OF YOUR LIFE! Don't Do It!
A little about Flea Marketing... The idea is to sell enough to offset the cost of food and gas and general maintenance. I don't have a budget, but want to earn enough to travel from sales. This means selling everything from Beanie Babies, Baseball (trading) Cards, computer parts, and a lot more. I have about 100 banana boxes full of stuff.
This isn't my storage building, but imagine 100 boxes like this...
So, on with the show, I mean, I'm going to be a tourist!
